Foreword
I must say thanks to the hundreds of people who have been kind enough to provide feedback and to the scores of universities and other organizations who have graciously accepted appointments with me. This feedback has helped shape what is described below, and it has generated considerable momentum. I am excited about the possibilities for the young people we hope to touch.

Abstract
C-Global-E seeks to bring together universities to provide, on a much wider scale, education that will prepare our youth to meet the challenges of attaining long-term peace, economic prosperity, and environmental sustainability. Tomorrow's leaders will be dealing with increasingly complex challenges, as hyper-globalization puts significant pressure on an already unstable world. We must proactively and aggressively educate more of our young people to understand and handle these challenges.
Modern education has always embraced the powerful phenomenon of international exchange and study abroad as a means to broaden an individual student’s own horizon. Such experiences shape individuals into more tolerant thinkers and more worldly citizens. Building upon this well accepted notion, C-Global-E seeks to leverage the effectiveness and efficiency of online learning and complement it with periodic travel to bring exchange-type exposure to a much, much larger group of students. It would undoubtedly be a much more understanding world if all students could experience a multicultural environment. Unfortunately, only a very small percentage of the world's students are ever able to study in a multicultural environment. Here is a way that they can.
Ultimately C-Global-E will encompass secondary education, executive education, and bachelors through the Ph.D. But, in its first iteration, C-Global-E will develop a geographically dispersed consortium of universities that will provide several of their freshmen and sophomore students an opportunity to study a 24-credit "global challenges curriculum" that specifically addresses our global challenges. The students will do so in an online environment with students from many corners of the world and representing many different political, cultural, economic, and religious backgrounds. The online experience will be complemented by periodic joint travel experiential exercises.
This system is described more fully on Page #3 of this website.
What students study and with whom they study are the pillars of this concept. It is believed that if done on a widespread basis, this system of education would generate a citizenry more capable of thinking and acting globally, and as such, to ensure diplomacy wins out over war, to ensure that economies remain strong, standards of living go up for all, and that environmental sustainability is addressed. It is believed that students who study together and become friends can manage the world together in a way for which we were unprepared.
Nearly everything is in place for this to work. It just needs organized. That is the function of this organization.
